Pre-Launch of the “Light the World” Campaign

Jim Shannon MP and Brendan O’Hara MP joined Church and charity representatives at the pre-launch of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints’ “Light the World” campaign, an annual initiative encouraging acts of service throughout the Christmas season.

Jim Shannon reflected on the season’s message of sharing light and building community, while Brendan O’Hara spoke of childhood experiences that shaped his understanding of generosity. Elder Kevin W. Pearson, General Authority Seventy and President of the Europe North Area, joined other Church leaders and partner organisations in highlighting the campaign’s focus on practical service and compassion.

The event underscored the shared aim of inspiring individuals and communities to spread light through simple, meaningful acts of kindness.
